Construction on the deck has begun! I cannot wait to grill and have a glass of wine out here, once it is complete. We have a fantastic view of the city and West hills, plus plenty of privacy in the summer with the tree cover. We ended up going with wood vs a composite material. We are still trying to choose a deck rail - thinking metal or cable. Looking great so far!
Purchased Dom's family home; built in 1952 and vacant for 10+ years. Bringing it up to date and move-in ready.

Trim and Baseboards
Floor Stain
We were lucky enough to be able to keep the original hardwood floors from the house. They were protected under a thick layer of green shag carpet - and in great shape. We had a few different shades of stain to pick from and decided to go dark.

East Side Progress - The Tree is GONE
The tree that has been front and center in all of our before shots is GONE. Below is the series of photos showing the East side of the house and the work Mike has done. You will notice something a little different in the final photo!
Siding Progress
Siding is not really my area of expertise. It is Hardie Plank, I believe... people keep asking. Pretty much all I know, is that it will eventually be painted white! Ha!

Hardwood Floors
Jaime has done a beautiful job on our hardwood floors. We were able to use all original hardwood from the house. We still need to figure out how we will be finishing them, but I love the contrast in color that shows through as they are now.
